The Challenge

During the Schneider Electric Summer Innovation Challenge, we identified a critical risk: homeowners often attempt to replace damaged electrical breakers in domestic panels without turning off the main power supply, leading to electrocution risks.

The Solution

I led the design of a "Hot-Swap" mechanism compatible with domestic panels:

  • Mechanical Interlock: Designed a system that physically isolates the connection points before the device can be removed.
  • Strategic Communication: Crafted the storytelling for the executive pitch, translating technical safety features into a compelling business value proposition for Schneider Electric executives.
