Industrial Shredder VR Twin

The Challenge

Industrial organic waste shredders are high-risk machinery. Training new operators on physical equipment can lead to costly damage or severe injury. Additionally, deploying control logic without testing often results in extended downtime during commissioning.

The Solution

Working with Green 2 Energy, I engineered a comprehensive Digital Twin solution:

• Virtual Commissioning: Modeled the shredder's physics in Emulate3D and connected it to a Rockwell Automation control stack (Studio 5000) via EtherNet/IP. This allowed us to validate PLC logic for hardware migration.
• VR Training Module: Architected an immersive module on Meta Quest 3. It provides operators with real-time feedback on procedural errors in a safe, repeatable environment.
